Wesley "Wes" Hicks is a character who appears in the Scream (2022) reboot, informally known as Scream 5. He is the teenage son of Sheriff Judy Hicks and a good friend of Tara Carpenter, who he appears to have a crush on. The character's name is an homage to late franchise veteran director and acclaimed horror filmmaker, Wes Craven (1939—2015).
